CALLING ALL RUNNERS: Join the 2021 Team!
Calling all runners! Team Brookline, the official Brookline Team of the Boston Marathon, is seeking a committed group of runners for the 2021 Marathon Team. When runners train and run with Team Brookline, they strengthen the Brookline community, expanding access to mental health care, literacy, the arts, youth development programs, and education.
In March, the Boston Athletic Association announced that the 2021 marathon will take place in two parts: a virtual marathon to be run between October 8 and 10, and an in-person marathon to be run on the historic Boston Marathon course on October 11. We were excited to learn that official Boston Marathon charity teams (including municipal teams like Team Brookline) will be part of the reduced field that runs the race on the historic marathon course. Recruitment for our October 2021 team will begin in April! Interested runners do not need to be Brookline residents to participate; they just need a commitment to the team and our causes.
Members of Team Brookline receive the following benefits:
• Guaranteed entry into the 2021 Boston Marathon
• Tailored coaching all season long from a dedicated coach
• Camaraderie of training with a committed team
• Personalized training plans
• Individualized fundraising support
• Team Brookline running gear
To participate on Team Brookline, runners must commit to reaching a fundraising minimum. Team Brookline applicants will be charged a non-refundable application fee, and Team members will be selected based on running experience, fundraising ability, and passion for participation. Selected runners are responsible for paying the Boston Athletic Association’s registration fee.
