Erin Murdock, Team Manager

We are delighted to welcome Erin Murdock, a 2023 Team Brookline runner, as our 2025 Team Brookline Manager. Erin was a TB23 MVP, bringing unparalleled dedication and team spirit to the team, and was a frequent volunteer during our 2024 season.

A finance manager at Boston University, Erin brings a rich background in higher education administration and business management to the team manager role. Erin proudly completed the Boston Marathon in 2023 and the Tokyo Marathon in 2024. An avid runner with a deep passion for the sport, Erin has run countless half marathons, 10Ks, and 5Ks and is on a mission to conquer all six Abbott World Marathon Majors.

For Erin, running is not just about the miles, but about connecting with her community and pushing personal boundaries. As Team Manager, Erin looks forward to connecting with like-minded individuals, supporting our charity partners’ meaningful causes, and inspiring runners to push their limits. Erin is dedicated to fostering a supportive and motivated team environment, where every runner feels empowered to achieve their goals. Her personal vision for Team Brookline 2025 is a close-knit community that celebrates each other’s achievements and works together to make a difference, both on the course and beyond.

Rick Muhr, Head Coach – Marathon Coalition (he/him/his)

Rick brings more than 24 years of marathon coaching experience to the Marathon Coalition. His ability to motivate and inspire has gotten thousands of runners across the finish line of numerous marathons throughout the world. For 12 years, Rick was head coach for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team In Training Program, preparing runners for marathons not only in Boston and around the United States, but also in Dublin and Bermuda. In addition, Rick is always focused on fundraising, building his experience as a participant in the Team In Training program as a runner, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Man of the Year campaign (in which Rick was chosen as Man of the Year), and his Run Across Massachusetts for the Special Olympics, among others.

Rick has been head coach at Marathon Coalition since its beginning in 2008. He has incredible energy for running, fundraising, and building community and we are so grateful to work with him and the rest of the coalition this season!
