The People Behind
the Team
From your first long run to the finish line on Boylston, these are the people who will get you there.

2× Team Brookline runner
Erin Murdock
A two-time Team Brookline runner (2023 and 2026), Erin has personally raised nearly $24,000 for Brookline. She brings unparalleled dedication and team spirit to the role, and was a frequent volunteer during the 2024 season.
Since crossing her first Boston finish line in 2023, she’s gone on to complete seven marathons and an ultramarathon — from Tokyo to Mount Desert Island, plus a second Boston in 2026 — and has run countless half marathons, 10Ks, and 5Ks along the way.
For Erin, running is not just about the miles — it’s about connecting with her community and pushing personal boundaries. As Team Manager, she is dedicated to fostering a supportive, motivated team environment where every runner feels empowered to achieve their goals.

Coaching since 2008 with the Coalition
Rick Muhr
A professional running coach, keynote speaker, and the founder of the Marathon Coalition, Rick has coached more than 20,000 runners worldwide over the past three decades, helping athletes of all abilities reach their goals, from finishing their first race to qualifying for Boston.
“My ultimate goal is to empower individuals to exceed their own expectations, guiding them toward unlocking their fullest potential.”— Rick Muhr
Rick believes running is one of the most powerful vehicles for personal growth. His coaching starts with meeting each athlete where they are, understanding their aspirations, and guiding them with thoughtful training that builds both physical strength and mental resilience. For Rick, coaching is both a privilege and a responsibility.
For 12 years he was head coach of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team In Training program, preparing runners for marathons across the U.S., Dublin, and Bermuda, and he has led the Marathon Coalition since its beginning in 2008.
